Here are some pictures taken at our annual Bakewell Silver Band Evening on Saturday 27 Sept 2014 held in Over Haddon Village Hall.
Over the years a strong connection has been built up between Over Haddon and Bakewell Silver Band.
Saturdays programme included a number of well known film themes as well as an opportunity for a “sing-a-long” session and with boisterous renditions of some “Last Night at the Proms” favourites (see the video).
Held in the Village Hall on Saturday 20th September 2014 this was a great success and added £2400 to the existing total.
This means that “Phase 1” of the project is now a reality. Phase 1 will include a goal target area, basketball hoop, petanque court, basket swing, benches and large part of the “safety surfacing”.
Subject to final planning confirmation by the Peak District National Park Authority it is hoped this work can commence before the end of 2014.
The Village Hall Management Committee would like to thank all those companies, organisations and individuals who donated the 37 lots sold at the Auction.
And a BIG thank you to all those individuals who could not be at the auction and left commission bids on various items from as far away as Cardiff in South Wales!!
Another BIG thank you goes to everyone who turned up on the night and pledged their money in person.
